Can anyone point me in the right direction on locating information on a 1960 D Lincoln Cent w/ a die chip in the R of LIBERTY? The only thing I found also had a die chip in the 6 of the date and the 2 I found do not. Thank you to anyone who can help. Hello. Die Breaks such as your Die Chip is a common issue on older Cents. There really is no place that shows different minor Die Breaks such as yours to match it with.
Just know that it is Definitely one.

    It's neat. Thanks for sharing.

It's definitely a die chip. They are very common so you probably won't find anything specific to your find. They are nice to collect but not worth much over face. Just keep and protect it.

Thank you for the knowledge. I found 2 actually and wouldn't you know I've got two kids. So they each get one, in like ten years of course since they're 10 and 14. Thank you again.

Just be sure to place a note with each coin stating that they have no real numismatic value. You won't believe how often we have relatives who inherit coins and think that they must be worth something because their parent or grandparent saved them. Sometimes, these heirs refuse to believe us. ~ Chris
