I forgot I had this. I picked it up in an antique store earlier this year. This was the best of the lot. Someone made them and someone cut them off. I know the photos are dark but so is the item, probably from all the handling.

Interesting. Unsure why they did this, as it isn't silver, or anything special from what I can see lol.

They made buttons out of early clad Dimes. They had Nickels too but they were really beat up so I didn't buy one.

I was going to say, spend it in good health until I saw the loop on the back. In that case, the bank might redeem it as a dime.

I don't see any value here at all.

Antique collectible and a coin novelty. I might get as much as $10.00 but I have no intention or interest in parting with it.

    Really?

Duplicating that would be pretty easy to be worth $10. I made a coin tie clip in art class when I was in high school.

In the antique business in my area you would be surprised.

Really? Make up ten or twelve of them and see how many they are willing to buy. Producing this kind of stuff is easy. All it takes is dimes, loops, solder and a etching tool to melt the solder.
