That is right everyone, Anaconda is back in business under the new name of Polaris Numismatics. The website is set up the same way that Anaconda's was and guess what else. My account information was retained from Anaconda and I did not even need to create a new one. Additionally, every coin that was sold under Anaconda is now listed in the Polaris Inventory Archives.

Check it out and if you have time, take a look at some of the great coins sold by Anaconda over the years. For a real treat, just go to the archives and type "Indian" and look at some of the proof IHC's. WOW!

I didn't miss it, I was the first one to respond to your thread, but the website was not up and running when you posted it. I have been checking the site every week and it always said "coming soon". The site is finally up and running with all of the features of the Anaconda site. I suspected that Brandon would model his new site after the Anaconda site, but had no idea that he would be able to keep account information and the archives. That is great.

BTW, I agree, Brandon is a great guy.

Could be a tax strategy or a build a reputable name ,then sell it and build a new one.

Where was this thang when I felt a bit more comfortable laying out those sort of funds for such thangs:

They may not get any better than this, really, these are notoriously poorly struck and this is a splendid specimen.

    Hello.

Thanks for the positive response to my new site. Let me just begin by saying that Polaris is NOT anaconda. As per my employment agreement, I retained the client information from anaconda but this is not the same outfit. However, since I operated ARC for adrian, you can expect the same great service and I'll do my best to provide higher end coins on my limited budget. Additionally, Since polariscoins.com (the databases, the images, the layout, and functionality) is copyrighted to me, (I built it myself), this is completely seperate from anaconda's old website. As always, when you deal with me, you know I'll treat you fair and you can rest assured that I'll only put up the finest quality coins for the grade. Feel free to hound me with questions and I'll do my best to answer them. You can send me an email at edited for a faster response.

Nah, several reasons, and I've spoken with lawyers about this as well.

    1. It has to be identical or almost identical.
    2. It has to be in the same field or market. Comics and Numismatics are different enough. In other words, they do not conflict with one another. Nobody is going to confuse Polaris Numismatics with Acclaim Studios. See what I mean here?
    3. The design is a compass rose or mariner star. It's a universal symbol of navigation and as such can be utilized as part of any logo or design that isn't conflicting or intending to mislead.

I'm sure if I had a problem with that, I'd have a problem with Polaris ATV's and any other company that used either the north star or a compass rose as part of their name. Since the industries are so dissimilar, they do not conflict or intend to mislead.
