Ok, here is another coin I got in the mail yesterday. The seller thought it was a Ptolemy XII but now is thinking a Ptolemy V. I have no clue. You really can't make out any detail but it was the first Greek (or I thought) coin that I bought for 2 bucks. My wife thinks I am crazy with all these old coins. She doesn't find them very interesting. I am really interested in the history of the coins!

So here are the photos the seller took, like I said, you can't make out much. If nothing else, if I could at least label it Greek or Roman, etc that would be nice. I can try to get some better pics later if needed. The smooth sections on the coin have a very pretty bronze color. Thanks!!

I dont know if its Ptolemy V, but its looks greek. hopefully somone else can i.d. it. Whats the diameter? I'd label it like this if you cant find out:

    "greek
posibly Ptolemy V or Ptolemy XII"

its hard to telll from the pic but maybe this?

It could be that one... The seller thought the back had a king standing, but I can't make anything out. It is around 23mm.

There isn't enough detail on the reverse to really decide - its a Rorscach test! Whats the size?

I just put it on top of a US nickel and it is just about the same size, half the thickness. When I look at these coins it almost looks like half of them...lol
