Well i thought this would be interesting what ever happened to these sets I have been on ebay just to see how many are being sold not that many. The set just has three coins in them the dollar, the halve, and the quarter no dime or nickle or penny very interesting that the mint didn.t bother with the other denominations. These are considered commerative coins and they are silver to boot. I read awhile back that alot of them were taken over seas for collectables back then I have only three of these sets, and I will break two up ,and sell them individually I will keep the other one intact The condition of these coins are at least MS 66 to 68. .So give me some feed back on these beauties

Pretty High Issue price ($15.) for a 3 pc set w/ 3,998,621 mintage!! If a lot of them went overseas then that might effect the price!! If you happen to have a set with Variety II on the Ike, you'd be sitting on something very rare!!

I bought the Unc. and Proof issues of this set back when they first came out....wish they included the dime and quarter but the government had a real aversion to issuing anything silver at that time....forget gold. And 40% silver to boot.

There are tons of these sets out there. You should be able to pick them up for 12 to 15 all day long.
