    @gini27
    1982 was the last year for Cents struck on Copper. All Lincoln Cents were struck on Copper until mid 1982. Except 1943 they were struck on Steel Planchets.
    Then in 1982 the change was made and Cents were struck on Copper plated Zinc Planchets. There were millions of them struck at the Denver and Philadelphia Mints.

    You have a Large Date with nothing special about it.

    The following website will explain it and the different varieties better - http://www.lincolncentresource.com/smalldates/1982.html

    It looks copper but definitely a large date. 1982 was a transitional year for Cents. We moved from copper to Zinc.

    Welcome to CT.

    You are welcome. Keep reading posts here and you will catch on quickly enough. The learning curve isn't quite as difficult as some might think. Don't let members that post negative comments to your posts, or use attempts at humor, dissuade you from learning.
