Well I bid on 4 last night but only won one coin. It is an interesting one however. It is a rare variant for Vespasian that shows an upright grain ear on the reverse. I already own 2 of these. On is still on the way from Jesus Vico (It has been a few months now). Anyway I really like the type and the provenance is a nice bonus. This coin was part of the "Morris " collection auctioned off by Heritage over the last several months or so.

I really like the portrait on this one and it nice to add another coin from this collection. This is either my 3rd or 4th "Morris Collection" coin.

Feel free to post your favourite Vespasian.

    That's a nice one, I like it.

I don't post this one much.

    Interesting example @Orfew.

@Mat: That is a fine coin!

This may be the best silver example of Vespasian that I own (i need to take another image. The glare is over the top): Vespasian 3.jpg

A fine new addition. I like the grain-ear detail on the reverse and wonder about what it signifies.

Will the denarius escape be released from its plastic prison soon?

Here is my favorite Vespasian. It won't appeal to grade collectors and isn't especially rare, but I very much like the expressive "heavy" portrait style:

Nicely done @Orfew. I won no things because I wasn’t prepared to go 2/3x my max. I used to win stuff at HA occasionally, not so much in the last year or so.

excellent coins @Mat and @Bing as well.

Nice coin - the bust is especially expressive.

Here's Mars and the corn-ear but with Vespasian facing left. This is the closest thing to a "scarce" Vespasian that I have. Condition leaves a bit to be desired:

Nice score Orfew :D! I've posted this one before but here it is again . This morning I watched some jaw dropping denarii of Vespasian auction off at CNG 114 :jawdrop:.

I do not care a bit about the condition of this coin. The left facing version has been on my want list for at least several months.

There were definitely some beauties at CNG last week. I love your IVDEA CAPTA. What a great coin.
