It could be 65PL, then it would be up there. It’s probably my favorite coin to gaze at. I think the 7/8 tail feathers is rarer and worth more. You just dont find many in PL.
Let's see some of the foreign ones, then. I'm a bit surprised you have 10 PL Jefferson nickels. I'm not sure I've ever seen one. Washingtons and Roosevelts, sure. I don't think I've seen a true PL Merc, but it doesn't surprise me that they'd be relatively rare, either.
The 41S is actually quite common. It's easy to find in 66PL, less common in 67 PL, but still available, even with FB. Less common is... every other date. Here I present a 1942S, NGC MS-66 FB PL:
I am sure people will find this coin interesting. Has all the detail of an MS grade coin YET they slammed this coin for all the field chatter because of it being an PL coin. This is one of my favorite. This is 1 of 6 certified by NGC in this grade. @Morgandude11 - Thought you would enjoy this coins
IMO, the AU58 PL is correct. I have seen several for sale like but none looked as nice as yours. Would love to have it lol
I think it's accurately graded. The darker color of the frost on the cheek and neck indicates a little bit of wear, as do the halos around the stars in the left field. Still a nice looking coin though.
Not noted as PL on the OGH (it's my understanding that at the time PCGS didn't do this for anything other than dollars) but I've been told that it would at least PL if resubmitted.
