1912 V Nickle looks better in person

    @Joy Matherne It's a pretty coin Joy but I suspect it's been cleaned looing at what's still in the nooks and crannies of most of the devices. Unless it's a lighting artifact, it also looks like grainy surfaces which might suggest a vinegar or vinegar and salt solution might have been used. But wait for the others to chime in as sometimes I am wrong. I'll also leave the grading up to someone else.

    Nice coin. too bad it has been cleaned. I used to have many of these. S mint is the one worth the bucks.

    Joy, she is certainly a lovely Liberty nickel. And yes, she has been damaged in a peroxide/vinegar bath of some sort. The uneven surface is the give away. I still think it’s a lovely nickel.
