thanks Harry! Put it at VF 35 its a Large 6 variety. I picked it up for 175$ which I felt was an alright price considering it would be high end VF... IMO.

You have some nice Lincolns there. I would say that 10-S is a solid AU, but (and it may be you pic) the color looks like it has been cleaned and is that a rim ding (gash) above the "LIBERTY"?

That 24-D isn't too bad either. If those are descent (not good, but there) wheat lines, it looks to me like it could go XF. Remember, that is one of the weakest struck Lincoln out there.

yes you assesed everything correctly, there is a small ding, what appears to be a gash, I assure you, isnt.
but ubnfortnatley the ding is there. its small enough when I first looked it over I couldnt see it without a loupe. The reverse has strong lustre and IMO it hasnt been cleaned. I will do my best to get better pictures tonight. The 24 D I agree on XF as well, There are actually very good wheat lines. after the 10 S my favorite iss teh 26 S though. IMO its my best one. I also picked up another 26 S (kinda worn) and a 22 D.
    thanks for the comments RLM.
but as for the whole lot.. I reallllly Like teh 1919 large cent. Im submitting it and hoping to get a 64 out of it. Which, believe me, would multiply my buying price ten fold.

    snaz,

I am sorry but I would have to agree with rlm on the 1910-S! The coin appears that it was dipped in some type of cleaner then it somewhat re-toned in an album. IMHO, this is apparent from the lighter areas in and around the Date, Mint mark, Lettering and in the recesses around Lincoln's Bust on the Obverse and covering almost all of the Reverse. I agree that it is an AU-50 and considering that it probably was cleaned, you still made out real good!

Overall, a really nice collection and selection of coins! Although I really like the Lincolns, you gotta love those old Draped Bust Half and Large Cents!!! You might want to post some better pics of the 1806 Half Cent to insure that the attribution is correct!

That is one of the big problems grading with pics and even more so with pics of copper. I am not disagreeing with you that it is full red in hand, but by the time it gets to my computer screen, it really looks cleaned.

Again I agree! Even if it does look Red in hand, there is no denying that the coin is darker in the fields and I know of no camera/lighting effect that would cause that to happen in the pictures.

The 1806 DBHC is a Cohen 4 and the only problem I see is the rim dent @ 9K on the reverse. Other than that, it's gorgeous! :thumb:

As to grade, these have always caused me problems trying to figure out grade so I'll let the experts figure this out. ;) I do know there were strike issues with this variety so it will grade a bit higher than it looks. :kewl:

    Old copper! :thumb:

Nice coins man! Here's what I say for the coins:

Canada Cent: grade: purty price: no clue :D

1910-S: AU, weakly struck price: I'll say you bought it for $50?

Half Cent: Real nice! price: no clue :D

1924-D: XF-40? weakly struck price: you got it for $110

1926-S: I'll give it an XF-40, that ding isn't too bad. Very nice coin! :thumb: I'll say you bought it for $25

Nice coins man! :thumb: Where's that 22-D you were talking about? :D

    Guys
I hate to spoil the party but the 10-S comes nice.......You need a total fuul ear and crisp wheats for an XF/AU ( aside from the cleaning ), it has neither

    24-D ? VF

26-S ? choice VF and nicely struck, could go XF in hand

The biggest problem with circ Lincolns is the differance between VF-35 and XF, then on to AU, you need luster to go AU in MOST cases.

Nice coins, but XF/AU.....thats a stretch

    awww come on Jack:mad:
what do you grade the 1910 S Jack? IMO the wheat stalks are very crisp, and I feel the ear WOULD be crisp if it wasnt a weak strike.
heres what I paid for everything.
    18$ for the 10 S
    35$ for the 24 D
    and 15.00 for the 26 S
    also....
    a 22 D for 22$. F 12ish
    a 26 S for 7$ VF 30 ish
    26 D for 8$ EF 40- AU
    a 1858 flying eagle SL VF 20 for 35$
then some canadian stuff. a real nice toned small cent in the mix too
