Grade The Franklin

    This is still in the mint bag (I like the set-same as the double struck nickel from another post), so the "lines" through Liberty, Trust (U/S), USA (reverse)and the one on the top right of the bell are all just the pouch.

    I'm gonna guess 64 since it has just a few more marks than my NGC 65, but I dunno. The bell does look way better though.

    Oh yeah, and what causes those uniform (usually 3) dings in Franklins? Is it from the edge smacking other coins?

    I'd agree with 62, it has some pretty heavy hits. But that is a very unusual coin, it has a dropped letter - F - in the hair. And I have no idea where it could have come from.

    Maybe it is an E
