Grade opinion of colorful proof

Every coin in this 5-piece proof set has matching toning. The TPG gave all the coins the same numerical grade (The cent has the suffix RB). I'd appreciate your opinions & guess of the grade. This half dollar is representative of the toning on this set.

PCGS, PF-65.
No Cameo designation.

 

It's hard to grade a coin higher than 65 from a photo, so I suppose PR65 is a good shot. Maybe better in hand.

Nice toning. Subtle colors like that are wonderful. :thumb:

 

The photos are too small to tell for sure, but I'm going to go with...

I agree! However, in hand it might be even better! There is some hazing in the fields which detracts or should I say distracts observers from the Cameo'd devices but IMHO, it is a Cameo.

I would give it a PR66 cam The toning is nice for a proof not over done. Nice coin.

Any hairlines?

I'd guess at least 66 DCAM, and maybe higher.

There are no hairlines visible with a quartz lamp & 3x magnification. I will take photos with good resolution tonight and post them.

I was going to say 63, but you can never tell with a Franklin. Of all the coins in the set, this is the hardest to grade.

NGC says PF67 with no cameo designation

I tried my best to get a better close-up photo on just the Franklin but I failed to capture the coin very well through the plastic. Any suggestions for shooting a proof through hairlined plastic?

Here is a photo of the entire 5-piece set. NGC says PF67 with no cameo designation.

The cameo on the half is mild and the color over-powers it. When you have to look for the cameo at different angles on a coin, then it is not cameo.

Very nice set, very nice

It's difficult to judge " cam " from a pic, it is so easily manipulated with lighting.

 

When you look at the half dead-on, then it is cameo. The photo I posted was shot dead-on. However, when you look at different angles it is difficult to see the cameo.

funny how the nickel didn't tone, but everything else did

 

Beautiful set , love the toning , already seen the grade , I think the Frankie is a Camo . 1 question did this set come in a box or a flat pack |||?
