As mentioned in my introduction thread, work has begun on the second edition of the shield nickel reference book. The format for the second edition will be completley different than the 1st edition and I need to re-photograph all coins from the 1st edition as well as any new varieties that collectors have discovered. I am asking any collector who has shield nickel varieties and is willing to let me examine and photograph them, to contact me. Attached are a few of the new listings that have come across my desk these past few months. If you prefer to email me directly, my email is eflet38711@cfl.rr.com. Mention shield nickels in the memo section.

Edward - have you contacted Howard Spindel ? He'd probably be more than willing to help out.

Yes, several months ago. I have also been in contact with several folks who contributed to Howard's SNV site and who have sent or are sending me their collections, but there are still a lot of varieties I need to photograph.

Hello Ed! I will try to get together what few I have. I have 13 to send, including the 1868(which I have as a FS3.35 from Cherry Pickers) guide plus an 1871 (FS 6.5)repunched date. I will do my best to get them off on Satuday.
