Speaking of Italian coins, I think the reverse of this coin deserves an honorable mention.

 

All coins are my favorites, well except maybe the Wyoming quarter. LOL

 

And in 1946, Italy became a Republic. And this is the most beautifil Republican coin... three Columbus caravels

Yes, that gold 5 pound is a stunner. So many world coins are beautiful and artistic, it is impossible for me to choose only one. Here are a few I like.

 

While I really, REALLY enjoy this design (and have some lower grade examples of similar 2 Lire) - my favorite coin design in my collection is this coin:

Even worn like this one Moroccan coins are stunning.

 

Here are three, I like all of them. In hand the final specimen in hand is IMO the best of them, and of course much more rare.

@QuintupleSovereign Do you have the Dansco Continental album for the German colonies? Incredible! I have been after it for a couple of years and I could not get it, only once but it was not in good condition.
