Yeah, we have a tendency to doubt many claims without photos. You say that the commem is gilded, but for all we know some dog could have peed on it. ~ Chris

Neat. The 3 Cent is on my bucket list. I have not detected it yet. I found a Seated Dime a few weeks ago.

Nice. Is that 1893 Columbian one of the bronze pieces? My aunt gave me one back when I was 5 years old (1948). Fun to have. I gave it to my oldest son just recently. Welcome to CT

Is your coin a medal ? I thought the coins were 90% silver.
