Why are some old coins completely green? Especially some of the Greek coins I have seen online. Also, some of the 1800 coins I have ordered have a little green on them. Should I leave it alone or is there something I can safely use to take it off without "cleaning" it. Does that make sense? :D

It is usually Patina, it protects the coin from corrosion so you don't want to clean it off. It is a good thing. It occurs naturally, so the coin would be problem free.

On both or one in particular...and is there anything you can do, probably more for the coin that I linked to. What are the chances it would spread if sealed and put in an album?

the 1790 one is corrosion. The Greek is just poor photography.
