I'll be honest, I have behaved and not spent much money during the quarantine period (I've been good)...but what do you expect. We are all stuck at home and the internet is just right there.

I know these are pretty common and cheap and nothing special...and I also feel that the whole "reverse proof" thing isn't quite as cool as it once was. But, I have been wanting one of these and the price was right. So, this came in the mail the other day:

    Nice reverse proof!

I have been buying things every now and then. Recently (6 days ago), I got a 1936 MS66FB mercury dime for the right price, boy am I happy!

Being trapped in the house with hundreds of online stores is not pleasent. Sometimes it feels like buying a single coin is the start of a spending addiction, so I stay away for long periods of time.

    Edit: 1936, not 1926.

Same. It's not a special release anymore, it's a gimmick.

If all you've bought in this quarantine is a reverse proof cent, you've been super well behaved.

I've bought nothing. By the time I get to go to a coin show I'll have plenty to spend since I'm saving my monthly coin budget. If this goes on long enough I'll finally get that 09 SVDB
    Lincoln.

I found a Wyoming state quarter and that is the only coin that has come into my possession during quarantine.

It’s the only coin I’ve bought so far (I’ve bought a few sports cards too). But I have a couple coins on my radar that I’m negotiating for.

I was doing really well, then dropped $1300 on an auction a couple of weeks ago. I have one coin I am looking at right now worst than that, but I will have a reason. I will post about it if I get it.

I've been all over the place trying to decide what I want to buy. As you say, the internet is right here alluring us. And so many coins....
I am into the 5 digit category ordering various other things though, which makes it all the more imperative that I get busy and pull the trigger on the coin thing just to equal out the packages coming in.

So, are you completely shut down for non-emergency work (along with the rest of the dental world)? Seems like the longer this goes on, the more chronic dental conditions are at risk to become "emergencies"... :(

One large ticket purchase is noted below, otherwise I have reached my goal and am getting my database/record keeping up to date and not purchasing much of anything. My four US Mint subscriptions are about the only new items coming in.

I held on without any coin buying for over a month, but finally started bidding last week. Won 2 ancients. Now waiting for their arrivals. The online auctions are quite tempting, now that I have more spare time at home...

I held out for about a month or so, but then it finally caught up with me and I broke down and bought two slabbed 2020 ASE's on April 24th, MS70 & PR70DCAM.
As if that wasn't enough, about a week later I won an auction for a set of Gem BU 1942-1945 Silver Wartime Nickels. I think I'm gonna like these more than the ASE's! 1942-1945 Silver Wartime Nickels.jpg

    Well...that didn't last long.

I guess this isn't technically a coin...Notgeld pieces fall more into the Token category (so MAYBE this doesn't count as coin buying). One of my favorite things to collect is German coins and I have never picked up any kind of Notgeld. But, I had been watching this piece for a long time and it never sold. So, finally, I reached out to the seller (who I had bought from several times before)...and I made him an offer. I knew he had had it in inventory for quite some time and thought he might be willing to come down a bit.

I gravitated towards this piece as I have always loved aviation...and I have always loved coins.

I don't have it in hand yet, but shouldn't be too long of a wait.

All nice items above. Congrats. I've been buying with/for my wife various British hammered coins. I'm trying to get enough together to make it worthwhile sending them to NGC for certification. I've got 8 so far with another couple on their way.
