I put down another proxy bid this morning before heading to work. There where two nice Justinian II (First Reign) AV Solidi. I had a hard time picking my favorite. I ended up bidding on the first one. Highest bid at 6;30AM was 1200 euros. So, I ended up putting up a 2400 euros proxy bid. When I got home I checked my bid and found it stuck up, and I won my coin.:D

This coin shows the young Emperor before his "nose job"

Very cool! Reminds me of King Friday the 13th from the neighborhood of make believe.

Thanks Mat/ Justin. Byzantines where really cruel, I can imagine the poor Emperors painfull nose removal.

Nice gold John. At least Justinian II also ended up with some gold.....Not as much as your hoard though:D;)

I was surprised at some of the lots that didn’t have much activity. I received a reminder text about this denarius I needed. I’ve never had any luck with these but I left a bid of 60 euros and did other stuff and found I won it. Now I’m annoyed that I didn’t bid/win any other lots for the lovely 20 euro shipping. Oh well, happy with the coin.
