Hey everyone. I am sending this Franklin off to PCGS, but since I have the pics I wanted to show it off and ask opinions about the bell lines.

    What say you? 49-s franklin obv.jpg 49-s franklin rev.jpg

Looks like there is a slight mark to the right of the crack upper lines.
The lower lines I can't hardly see but I think it is a good candidate.

Honestly, impossible to tell with those pictures. The picture makes the bottom set of lines look quite incomplete, especially to the left of the crack. The speckled toning isn't helping, either!

I didn't say it was easy, Jason! It can be difficult to capture details through the luster and the toning. Besides, you know that my photo skills are suspect

I thought that PCGS only uses one set of lines for FBL. ~ Chris

It's not easy to image bell lines.

I'm sorry Mike, there's just too much 'noise' for me to make a proper determination. Perhaps if you uploaded a larger file?

Yes, they use only the bottom set of lines.

Coincidentally, that's the set of lines that can't really be seen in these photos.

Your right. But they also give nickels the FS designation when there are clear bridges and contact.
