    Congrats to @Steve Bostwick

And thanks @flyers10 once again for your amazing contest.

1980 Olympic hockey is absolutely in the top 5 sports greatest moments for me. Thanks for the reminder.

@masterswimmer I grew up pretty close to Lake Placid. I was a senior in high school during that Olympics. What a game and what an experience!

Let me guess, a shot in the dark.....Bloomingdale. ;)

I was a junior in college during that Olympics. I think every single 98.6° orb was glued to a TV for the gold medal game. You could hear the entire campus erupt simultaneously when the clock ran down. It was an electric surreal moment.

Wow. Impressed you know of Bloomingdale. Close. About 40 miles northeast of Bloomingdale.
And yes it very much was a surreal moment. Actually had a couple friends I graduated high school with that went to the game. Talk about witnessing history!

Those are some sweet memories. I've got a buddy who went to SUNY Plattsburgh and worked as an unpaid volunteer at the Lake Placid Olympics. His only payment was the Lake Placid winter coat they gave him. He shares those same memories as your friends I'm sure.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Missed the contest, but enjoyed reading about everyone's favorite coin/series and why they enjoy it. Welcome back @flyers10 and thanks for the give-away which prompted everyone to post.

The Walking Liberty is FH, the Mercury FSB, the Nickel almost FS, the Cent definitely GEM RED, and the Quarter is one of the nicest to ever to go into my collection! Thank you flyers10!
