IMG_20200501_140943686.jpg Here is my 1921 Morgan as you can see the lines for the tail feathers do not run all the way down past the arrows in fact instead of there being 7 lines there are only 3

please have a look at the tail feathers....
there are 3 lines leading down from the body to past the arrows to the 3 feathers where as should there not be 4 more lines leading down to the other 4 tail feathers?
the other 4 lines are missing.

So the inner tail feathers have been polished away. You can look thru the VAM's for this year.

All I see are 2 die cracks. One along the bottom of OF and the other from the rim to the M in AMERICA. I think you are talking about an overpolished Die.

Yes it's possible. An over polished Die can be a very small area and can affect just about anything.

    Welcome to CT.

My poor eyes finally found the issue. That's real cool and I think it will be listed. Going to check myself.
What is the date? How about a pic. of the obverse?
