This is too funny. Surfing Ebay last week I noticed Calif. Qtr. 1st. day covers were going for high prices and captioning was "sold out at mint". I said 'dang I should have got one. Checked the mint site when it was up and sure enough it said "not available". Today I learned they havn't sold even a third of the 75,000 made, so I checked the mint site (when it was up), and sure enough they are available. A miracle! I don't know how to attach the link but some poor souls are currently bidding up to $51.00 for a 19.95 item (overpriced at that) readily available from the mint. I can't blame the sellers on ebay for this one. I'm sure this happens frequently.

they seem to have all the first day covers even back to 2000 (connecticut, etc).

Must not be too much demand.
