1835 Capped Bust 50¢

    Please share your opinions on the condition of this Capped Bust half dollar which now resides in my collection. If you don't feel the coin would slab as problem free then please try to net grade it for me. Thanks.

    Well I don't really see anything that would keep it from slabbing and I would say it is in the F/VF range.

    You don't think the coin has been previously cleaned? That is one of my concerns.

    It is really hard to tell from the pictures and even with better ones, we still might not be able to tell for sure! Many coins...especially that old, have been cleaned at some time in the past.

    The coins appears to be a borderline F-12.
