The composition of the dime is copper / nickel , so it can be seen like layers...

 

Do you know the value of the dime.

 

It sounds like you have an unstruck dime planchet. If so, it's worth one or two dollars.

 

I have a blank that looks like a penny....is it worth anything?

 

I think a cent planchet (Sp?) sells for about $1-$2 each!
I have seen dimes go for more...

But I must comment on those old posts saying a blank is worth a couple bucks maybe. In that case the mint should be selling them out the back door or in the gift shop to cover the cost of the real money
