I stopped at the bank to get some cash. Drive thru only, I asked the cashier if she has any $2's. "I got 100 dollars worth, you want them" she ask. "Yeah" I said.
She said "they are in a time delayed safe" and can I pull ahead and she will bring them out. I waited, less than 5 minutes. When I got home looked at the bundle and got a start when I flipped it over. 20200501_161100.jpg
Closer look. uhhh! just one. O'well better than none.
Cleaner than most I have, rip in bottom left side obverse. But still A keeper.

I think this qualifies as my first pre-1976 $2 note found in circulation.

    SERIES 1953B $2 Signatures: Smith-Dillon. Delivered September 1961 through July 1962.
    Blocks: 1 regular + 1 star = 2. Complex blocks: 1 regular + 1 star = 2.
    Groups: 1 regular + 1 star = 2. Print runs: 30 regular + 2 star = 32.
Total notes printed: 10,800,000 regular, 720,000 star (6.67% star rate).
