Ok so im thinking about setting up some sort of site that will allow people to trade coins (there will probably be a buy option as well) but what i want todo is setup something that users could login, post up what they have and what they want. then others could offer to trade a coin that they have for a coin the others have, kinda like the old days when you traded baseball card a for card b.

I am interested in this because im east coast and dont get too many good quality Denver mint quarters, and prez dollars (and some lincolns)

do you think this would get used by others?

are there already sites such as this that i just missed?
seems like everything i have seen are just sites where you can sell your stuff, but coins like these arent exactly high dollar stuff and it seems dumb to me to buy a quarter for 2 bucks just to put it in my circulated book

Forums like this exist so that you can get to know other traders ;) Welcome to cointalk by the way.

Your way, way, way to late. Almost all coin forums have a place for buying, selling or trading coins.
Not one here but places like the PCGS web site have a separate forum called Buy/Sell/Trade. Other forums also have similar sections.
As I said, way to late.

I don't know if I'd say way to late, but the idea is out there and has been done.

There's always room for something better. Just ask Yahoo what they think about Google. Or ask B2 what they think about WordPress.

Were it me I wouldn't try to reinvent the wheel. There are tons of B/S/T threads on various forums and sites much less ebay... I'd think of something that accomplishes the same goad but from a different angle. Just thinking out loud here, but what about a site that connects "coin penpals" together. Don't know if that's been done or not.
