This is my 1st note that I bought , any information as to value , and date of origin , comments wanted . Thanks . rzage
rzage, that's a military payment certificate. series 661 issued: October 21, 1968 withdrawn: August 11, 1969 areas of use: Vietnam Lou
Series 661 MPC's were only used in Vietnam, from 1968-1970. The 661 notes are the easiest to get uncirculated examples of the fractional notes, and they can be found for about $7.50 -$10 each on up to the 50¢ note. With the Series 661 notes, the $10 note is very rare, the $20 somewhat scarce but obtainable. The 5¢ - $5 are easy to find, and very attractive notes.
Well then I paid a little too much $21 , but to me it's worth it as I think it's a beautiful note , also graduating HS IN '71 I'm really glad I bought it as it's part of that turbulent but fantastic time . Any good books on MPS from the Viet Nam era ? rzage
rzage, I don't no of any books on MPC's but I'm sure there are some. FYI...The MPC's replacement notes are designated by a lack of a suffix letter in the serial number. They are sought after by collectors. Lou
It wasn't that much , about $21 and I liked it . But my wife is gonna kill me when the credit card bill comes in what with the Indian cent , and 1/2 Rupee . rzage:hatch::hammer:

Great note Rzage:thumb: although you again spend too much:headbang: I had the opportunity to buy some circulated MPCs real cheap but as I told you, I already spend my month's allowance buying Indian silver:desk:.LOL
Rzage...what else could I add to the already mentioned comments except that a friend of mine was recently awarded the PCGS top award for MPC. He has the entire (all series) collection with a very high condition rating! Beautiful note, great Series and for sure keep building, you never know you might surpass him!! RickieB
