I recently read about the 1946 inverted S mint mark, and I have a question. In 1946 the "S" mint mark was done in three different styles, with the "Ball Serif" style being the scarcer of the other two, and the mint mark was struck upside down on this very rare 1946-S, and it goes on to say that it is the "only known" inverted mint mark in the Lincoln series. My question is could this also have happened in 1952 with the "S" mint mark??? The pictures are not very good, and i'm sorry for that, I am waiting on a better source for picture taking, but the "S" mint mark on my 1952 looks exactly like the inverted "S" mint mark pictures for the rare 1946. Could this be possible??? 1952swpobv.jpg 1952swp2.jpg

    I highly doubt it.

Doesn't appear to be, but photo is understandably pixelated, Jim
