Is this a discovery 1980 D RPM?

I have been using this time stuck inside looking through some copper bulk I have sitting around, and I just ran into this. If its damage, then that is VERY wierd damage to have formed. What are your thought?

What I don't understand is how you could have run into such a little coin. I hope you didn't hurt yourself. ~ Chris

 

Not worth your time but then, I'm not a variety collector.

 

After lookig carefully at the coin, I can deduct that it is just some very strange damage dealt to the mm. I deducted that from the malformed insides of the MM's walls, and the lack of ANY sign of it on the other side of the mm. Thx for the help!
