Definately the wheaties bag my dad gave me around 1959 , budgood where were you in '59 , the highlight of the "unsearched" bag was a barely readable 1909 . Back then they didn't call them wheaties bags , they called them unsearched early Lincolns . rzage
Of all the Portraits, the Jefferson is the best, far better than the Lincoln Cent, Roosevelt Dime or Washington Quarter. Ruben
I still have some of the wheaties I found as a kid of like 6 or 7 in 2x2 with my lttle kid writing. Yes, even the VDB I found. Other notables are things my dad bought me. The 1866 Two Cent Piece that later turned into an obsession. the 1872 Shield Nickel, the 1865 Three Cent Nickel and the 1851 large cent that I HORRIBLY cleaned. Can't forget mom either. Still have the Presidents set hanging on my wall. Bought from the Sears Christmas catalogue in 1975. BTW Stainless - yes CT is going annoyingly slow for me as well.
Well, Until just now about any page on CT. I rebooted AGAIN but it hasn't been a problem on my end as all other sites have been cruising along just fine.
My first coin would be a 1883 Morgan dollar that was given to me in 1963. I still have the coin and I'm sure it's been cleaned. The reason I know that is because I cleaned it when I was a kid. Lou
I can't seem to remember what was my first coin:headbang::headbang: Ofcourse I do remember that it was an Indian coin but not which one. Although I do remember what stamp I first discovered and fell in love with. I guess 16 years is a long time :desk: must be getting old:secret:
