A relative recently passed away and we found these while cleaning things out. I know they are worth their weight in silver at least (For the silver ones) but am curious if their is anything else here that might be unique. Not planning on selling, just may throw a note in the bag saying pay attention to this one and give it to the kids. Thanks!
I can't make out the mintmark on the 1924 Lincoln cent. If it has a D mintmark, that is a better date. May be worth $20-$30 or so. If it's an S, it is as valuable as the rest of the cents (around face value). The Ike's may fetch a couple dollars over face value. The Kennedy's are worth face value. The silver dollars are, as you stated, worth their weight in silver.
That's ALWAYS a task, especially if the countries involved use a different alphabet! It's been years and I still have plenty that I have no clue what they are. Luckily there are plenty of people in the World Coins Forum that can help you out with that!
Can't quite tell from the photogs, but if that Peace Dollar is a '28, then ya got something there. My money is on it bein' a '23 though........
I 'think' it's a 23. I looked at it with a magnifying glass and it just doesn't seem to look like an '8'. It seems open on the end (hard to tell with the dirt on it), so I'm going with '3'.
