The coin you pictured appears to look like an 1819 half crown. But the half crown was struck in silver and that coin does not appear to be silver. Can you weigh it ?
Just going through some old threads as I am a new member (from Gloucester, England). The coin shown appears to be a cast counterfeit halfcrown - a lot of silver coins of this period were so copied and originally given a silver wash to pass as good money. The person that made, or even passed this coin was in danger of ending their life very publicly on the gallows or transported to Autralia. At present they have little monetery value (probably about the equivalent of $1-$2 ish) but in my view have great interest as social history as they are contemporary forgeries of the coins they copy (not a modern copy to fool gullible collectors). I agree that it is a counterfeit with the silver worn off, but I think you underestimate eBay. I thin this would fetch at least 5$ US or so.
Dud British 2/6. Eddie,like the other members said,this is definitely a forgery of a 1/2 Crown (2/6) from Great Britain.This design is of King George III's last coinage,which replaced the 'Bull Head' 2/6 in 1817. Aidan.
