Because of the glare problem, I take the pics inside with very low light and I lean the coin almost upright, so the light is coming in from the top and the glare isn't coming directly into the lens. They don't end up showing "luster" well but you can make out the details well. ;)

Toad those are beautiful. I really need to back away from buying from the mint so much and save money for old coins. I think gold is a little out of my price range though. ;)

OMG I am reading my red book right now and there is a whitman ad that says "Buy the Book Before the Coin" am I a little late on catching up with that?

You can get these from 20 bucks & upwards, so they are easily collectable but not a lot of gold. Unlike other gold coins, that the value of the gold is the primary value, these have more collectable value than gold value. ;) Plus, I consider it a "sleeper area" within collectables and the prices should increase nicely over the next ten years or so. :thumb:

Ps: These cost me, on average, a little less than 30 bucks each, which includes shipping. :D

Thats not bad at all. I could probably do that. Do you have any websites with info on them. And what would I search on ebay to pull this up. Or another site because I don't like ebay to much.

Here are the reference websites & forum:

On Ebay, it's got its own area in the Gold Section:

You need to spend quite a bit of time on Mike's site, looking at the examples he has posted and learning which are the good ones and which are the cheap ones. Also, the more you look at, the easier it is to spot many of the cheap brass replicas. ;)

Thanks. I may have to wait awhile to get some. I have got my sights set on the 2009 UHR Gold coin.

If you'd like to see some CGF's, this is a good seller:

    http://stores.ebay.com/Gold-Coins

Mike Locke says that seller can be trusted not to sell you a repilca as the real deal. ;) So his store is good to browse to help familiarize yourself with CGF's. :thumb:
