So my friend works at a credit union... and I went to visit her today because I needed to withdraw some money. she knows I collect US Money, but doesnt really know what. So today I go in after I withdraw some cash and ask if she has any good money for me. lol She says she doesnt know, but says she has these, and pulls out some Eisenhower dollars (had about 7 of them, I didnt take any). Then she says she has some half dollars. One of those was a '67, so I traded her with one I already had. She says "are you serious? is this one better or something?" So I go on to explain about the 65-70 rule about 40% silver, and tell her 1964 and earlier will be 90% silver. I also showed her the rim-trick (there will be no copper on a silver coin) So now she'll be on the lookout I'll have to tell her in class today that the 1964 rule applies to dimes and quarters as well. :thumb: Its good to have a friend in the business oh, and the half dollar actually has some nice brown-gold toning on the obverse, I'll post a picture soon.
