Nice Medieval Goldgulden

    Got this in 2011 Kunker Auction (my first ever coin from Kunker)

    Trier/ Erzbistum
    AV Goldgulden ND struck 1365 Kolbenz Mint mm. Crossed Keys
    Archbishop Kuno II Von Falkenstein 1362-88
    3.59g. 22mm. .986

    Obverse: St. b-deutsche-munzen-und-medaillen-b-32534-XL.jpg John the Baptist
    Reverse: Arms of Trier

    Trier like many of the Cities/ towns in Germany where ruled by the Roman Catholic Church. However they where under the rule of the Holy Roman Emperor.
