Getting back on the subject of the filled die dime. Do you have a picture of the reverse and is there any die filling on the reverse? Thank You.

Bob, fyi, this thread was started in Aug. 2015; the OP was last seen Jan. 2017, so you're not likely to get a response. ;)

For some unknown reason, Mike opened this old thread (his very 1st post, btw) to respond to someone who hasn't been here since 2016! :banghead::confused:

These posts make my day. Awesome stuff.
Necrothreads, infighting, belittlement. It's like Christmas, my birthday and 4th of July.

i just got sidetracked for about an hour, thanks, interesting reads and am bookmarking it...getting back to the dimes, at hand, i recently purchased a lot of 7 for about 11.00 total including post office fees, i for one, find them interesting, every post on here poo-poo's all the grease filled, and machine doubling, but i think they are interesting...as do a lot of others, just look at ebay prices,. and you will see they are all around the same price for these types of coins, with the ones obscuring more detail worth more than slight ones...

This question might be a bit off the thread.
My first thought on this coin was a deteriorated die and see most comments are suggesting a strike through. Are there subtle visual clues, that a student of varieties would/should look for, to differentiate between die deterioration and a strike through? Or are the end results vastly different and not comparable?

On the OP coin I thought slight MAD, slight greaser.
