I know @Al Kowsky knows a fair amount about these. I only know that they are from Syria, often Antioch, but sometimes other cities too. Nice pick up!

Nice pickup @bcuda. I love provincial tets, a lot of fun to collect these. Mine is similar with almost the same legends, but looks like a slightly different bust type.

That's a youthful portrait of Phillip II. A nice example!

bcuda, Congratulation on your 1st handsome Tet of Philip II :D! The coin is in Choice Ex Fine condition & has lovely toning. Your coin is listed in McAlee's book as 1043, & that could be found in Prieur's book as 473. I noticed Shea 19 has a handsome Tet of Philip II posted too as Prieur 473, which is a mistake or typo on his part. I can't imagine CNG making a blunder like that o_O. Your coin would date AD 248/9.

Shea19, Your coin is listed in McAlee's book as 1045(b), & Rare. The bust type on your coin is more than "slightly" different, it's totally different. Your bust of Philip II is seen from the front, & bcuda's bust of Philip II is seen from behind.

@Al Kowsky , thanks! That was a typo on my part, CNG listed this as Prieur 403, not 473. It was part of a group lot. I wrote down the wrong description for the coin. I unfortunately do not own the Prieur or McAlee references, so I appreciate the info.

Your coin is in much better condition than they are usually found in.

This one is the same as @ Alegandron's from Nisibia. The river god at Tyche's feet was named "Mygdonius". The coin weighs 10.32 g.
