Just in from Heritage auction/ ugly "horse" on reverse!

    Very cool coin, I like it a lot.

    Another great acquisition for your collection, panzerman! I don't see the horse as being "Ugly." In fact, it's kind of graceful.

    Thanks guys!
    I am glad that the "M" "EK" =mintmaster/die cutter got away with their coin design. The horse has a tiny head/ "ostrich" legs/ while the Duke has very large nose/ eyes compared to facial features. Back in 1744, that could have got you fired from the mint or even worse a one way trip to face the masked guy with the "axe".:dead:
