Yes, by all means go to your USPS and asked to speak to a supervisor regarding this. I recently went through a hassle with a company saying they had proof of delivery but I never received the item and low and behold, not only did the USPS have the GPS delivery coordinates and name and address of the person that did receive the item of the tracking number I was given, they had photos of the actual item to prove I was given the wrong tracking number.

I didn't read all the posts, but it should end here:

When THAT end will come, and the headaches you get UNTIL then, and calls you must make to eBay, ???

And DO scan + post pic of receipt to buyer...

I began selling on eBay ( I.D paulgol) in 1997 and have watched as it has mutated
    into something unrecognizable.
No longer a Seller, I occasionally do buy items.
My recommendation to one & all, when you've had enough, simply eschew!
CT members & All please stay safe,

I was with the Post Office for 25 years and I will tell you what they are going to tell you and that is according to the tracking it says it was delivered and if the buyer is claiming he never received the package then it becomes a police matter. You can call and it’s possible the carrier might recall leaving the item, but I don’t think that will happen because we deliver so many parcels every day. I still sell on eBay and every time someone plays the I never got the package I make up a story and tell them my (brother/uncle/ whoever) is a postal inspector and I will have him look into and low and behold I always hear back that they did indeed get the package but a family member never told them or some other sorry ass excuse. Good luck.

Interesting responses on this thread...all I can add is that after more than a decade as both a buyer & seller on eBay, I closed my acct. several months ago & neither regret it nor miss it!:singing:;)

Agreed - the customer service staff who answer phone calls don't have a clue about much of anything other than repeating what's on their FAQ sheet - a supervisor is the only way to get competent assistance - good luck to the OP ;)

Often, if a miss-delivery it will have gone to a neighbors box. I had one situation and demanded the postmaster deliver a note informing the neighbors of the missing item. after a bit of demanding discussion, he agreed. Got my coin next day after the notes were sent.

Being bothered by the situation, I researched the address the buyer had me ship to, and realized that it was an international shipping location. I remembered there being a weird letter/number combination after her name, but it looked like an error with inputting the name, because it showed being connected to the name and not the shipping address. I'm now realizing that this was probably some code to tell the shippers where to direct the item. The company is closed for the weekend, so I will call them Monday. I did not include that number/letter combination when I mailed the item and am now worried that it arrived but did not get mailed forward.... now I can see why we are both confused. I'm clearly an amateur with in the being a seller department. I'm hoping the company has the item on hand and/or shipped it forward.

Ebay has turned into a general nightmare.

I sold many many many things back in its first four or five years online and it was fantastic. A dream. I made money. They didn't gouge you for listings and they certainly didn't take 10% of your selling price. I sold a few more things last year and had a pretty underwhelming experience and any profit I made came out far far far less than before. Not only did they take 10% of my selling prices, but they charged me extra for the listings of sold and unsold items. Ugh.

Just wanted to share a follow-up. The buyer never responded to my emails, but due to 30 days of inactivity on the claim, it closed out and I got to keep the money. I believe the customer received their coins, so all parties should be happy :)

Why is it Ebays fault? They didnt put wrong number in? If it were you (buyer) you would want them to side with you.

That's great news! Hopefully it didn't weigh heavily on you for the last month, and glad it ended well.

Try that now, and listen to the future system that will allow you an internet "filing". LOL
