That's what I get for coming on here before having my morning coffee. :goofer: I actually got to sleep in today and didn't get up until late so I didn't think I needed my coffee . . . that's what I get for thinking, especially with no coffee in me. Ribbit
Possibly your Dad knew how the government was saving money by hiring Monkeys to do the work. As with every thing else our money is probably outsourced to Zoos.
You've got to look at this like this: At Starbucks a cup of coffee by me is well over $2. Gasoline for my car is about $3.90/gallon Even the Tribune Newspaper on Sunday is $1.99 A pair of socks at the average store is over a dollar. I stop in local restaurant seveal times a week with friends for just coffee. It's $1.60 and you have to leave a tip. So a $1.50 for a coin, almost any proof coin, it really nothing. Won't even get you a cup of coffee around here.
Hope your bubble didn't get popped after reading all these comments. And hope your coin turns out just as you imagined. I'd love to see pics of it!
No. NOT TRUE. I have my 2008 silver proof and proof sets packaged in a box to be sent back to the mint, because they had fingerprints on the COIN, not the case.
Well no not ALWAYS true. There are always the times where the mess up, and I guess thats what happened to me.
For 1.50, it can't be that bad. Im going to say that and its going to look like someone took a belt sander to it. lol.
Well today it came in and it looks really, REALLY nice for a buck 50. I just scanned it and here are the pics. It looks better in real life. Sorry for the back being upside down.
Proof or Poof Maybe it's my eyes. Maybe it's my laptops screen. I can never tell squat regarding condition from an image.
Give that man a cigar Freaky you are a corker and I mean that in a good way. You post a buck and half Lincoln and get everybody weighing in on it. That takes talent. Good luck with coin, I hope it's blazing red and perfect in every way.
