The 1976 "No S" Dime is only for proof coins. Your coin is not a proof coin.

I'm guessing that you heard something about a "No S" dime being worth a lot of money. It wasn't on BoobTube, was it? If so, you should be aware that there is loads of misinformation and half-truths there.

I believe there are actually 7 proof sets that have a coin struck without the San Francisco mintmark. They are: 1968 with "No S" dime; 1970 with "No S" dime; 1971 with "No S" nickel; 1975 with "No S" dime; 1983 with "No S" dime; 1990 with "No S" cent; 1990 Prestige Set with "No S" cent. ~ Chris

As stated, not a proof dime and it's damaged. All no S Dimes are proofs. That dime was minted in Philadelphia.
