I picked up this FRN last Friday at work. It came in as part of a large deposit from a cash advance company. Its in great condition, with the one crease longways and a faint vertical fold and still very crisp, but it looks like someone didnt believe it was authentic. Five marks from a counterfeit pen, come on now!
The bank is closed today but I have a almost unc. series 1969 $50 FRN as well as an almost unc. 1974 $20 FRN waiting for me in my drawer. Last week was good to me, lol.

Nice find! Those pen marks should fade away in a few weeks. People need to read their pens. It says works on all currency newer than 1959.

Several weeks ago when I got the counterfeit $100 that was printed on a bleached out $5, that was the first thing the teller did after I had just explained to her what it was! The paper was real, the note was not.

BTW the counterfeit detector pens specifically work on dry paper printed notes, so they have to be Series 1963 or higher notes. Anything before that date is not going to register with that pen.
