ACH's Coin Giveaway

On the anniversary of joining CoinTalk nearly three years ago (April 28th, 2017) I will be giving away a coin by drawing on this April 28th. I received this coin from a generous benefactor when I joined the Forum who sent me a set of coins for free as I was a new member of the group here.

This coin has a lustrous black patina along with bronze highlights on the coin devices, which makes it rather attractive in hand. I won't giveaway the name of the ruler as you will have to figure that out.

If you are interested, please indicate in this thread and I will hold a blind drawing on the 28th and notify the winner, after I pull a user name out of the hat. The only thing the coin has asked me is that it goes to a good home, a curator who will appreciate it and then pass it on to a future generation of collectors, either an interested family member, a purchaser at an estate sale, or auction. Hopefully, you will enjoy the coin as much as I have.

That is a cool coin. I don't think I've seen an obverse OR reverse like it before. FFIVN and I have been the recipients of many a kind gesture here so we will sit this out.

I am interested. Very few ancients in my collection, but the coin being offered has very nice eye appeal.

That's very generous of you to keep that coin tradition going. I like ancients, specifically roman denarii. I have a couple of bronzes but none are of this quality. Thank you for the opportunity!

As far as being a steward for your offering, I've been a collector for 53 years now and I've never sold a single coin from my collection. It would be an honor to add your piece to the legacy I'm arranging to pass down when last call has been announced at my party.

My ancients from that time period are primarily from uncleaned and cheap bulk lots, so it would definitely improve the neighborhood in the storage box.

Extremely generous gesture, @ancient coin hunter . I have been collecting for about 51 years, but collecting Ancients for over 30 years. I have never sold an Ancient.

I'd also like to throw my hat into the ring. I've only started collecting ancient coins a few months ago, and this would make an excellent addition to the dozen or so that I own if I did indeed win.
