Even though I only bought it a minute or two ago, I couldn't wait to post it! AE tessera obv: Bust of Sol r. rev: horizontal crescent with three stars above Its a bronze tessera, or token, from ancient Rome. These pieces are remarkably rare and little is known about their purpose. Its going to take me some time to find a reference for it.
