i was bidding on one of these a few weeks back, as hoping to get it at around 200 or so, as the auction seemed slow moving, i lost bid and it finally went for 365.00 always wanted an early proof...(sigh) maybe another time
wow, thio wow, those nickels are superb!! so hard to find without nicks and bag marks on em, thanks for sharing!
nice, i love anything from the 1700"s, seeing 200+ yr old anything, especially coins makes me happy...just knowing all the hands this coin went through, and the stories it could tell....
wow, very nice..i see machine doubling as well as die breaks? or clashes? i would grade that at ms-68..what did it say on the grade?
hmm, except for the 'errors' i do not see any defects..sometimes i think they grade way too conservatively..i have seen some coins listed as 65-67 that have major nicks and other defects, whilst something like this one slide under with a 66?/ i wonder what anyone else thinks??
Haven't posted any new acquisitions in a while due to my camera taking a dump. Just got a new one today and started catching up on cataloging my new additions. These are the second and third pics I have taken with it so far. A nice 1885O Morgan I picked up a few weeks ago. And a 2014 Baseball HOF Clad Half Dollar in OGP
That is a worthy RPD. When you can see the variety without magnification then you have something. Good pick.
Seated Half Dime with clashing so deep... you can read half the date on the reverse side! @TypeCoin971793
