I cannot tell if this is a d/d or a d/s or something else entirely. What do you ladies and gentlemen think? Thanks.
There are no known OMM's for 53' not trying to be rude. But I can't see anything in your photos. They just don't have enough detail to say it's anything other than damage.
I'm not seeing anything other than a normal cent. I've never heard of an over or double mintmark for this year.
Welcome to CT. As others have stated, I'm only seeing a well circulated 1953 D cent. Maybe close ups of the MM would help, but I doubt it is anything other than a Denver mint coin.
Might be a RPM but would need a close clear picture of the date and mint mark. There are at least 29 known RPMs for this year.
I don’t know of any OMMs for 1953 but here are some RPMs. There may be others but I haven’t cross referenced the ones on other sites or in my own reference books. http://varietyvista.com/02a LC RPMs Vol 1/RPMs 1953D.htm
