Hello everyone, would like you all to help me identify how much this pieces of coin worth cause I feels like want to let go and is it XF grade? Thank you all. P/S: Re-uploaded picture for grading purpose. This is the best I can do using my 6MP camera..
Nice coin. I'm not too sure if I have seen any 1926 50 kopek recently on ebay. It's one coin that I'm looking for my year set. I believe it's reasonable to expect at least 10-15USD for that coin, given that 1926 is slightly scarcer than the 1924 and 1925 50 kopek. Depending on what variety it is, you can expect to get more but that requires a lot more research and patience to sell.
Hello gxseries, thank you for the estimated price for my coin, I think 10-15USD is good enough for me. Will try to sell it later on. How about the grade? Is it XF or lower?
I would agree with gxseries his quote is quite accurate and I confirmed the price using an advanced search on completed listings with my sellers account. The only one that I saw sell high was one in choice uncirculated condition and slabbed ;-) Sincerely, Donn My World Coin Gallery http://www.cointalk.org/album.php?albumid=123
Thanks Don, I usually quote prices off my memory so sometimes I can be awfully wrong. It's definately a nice coin hawk - probably XF+. The only thing that's hurting the coin is the nick done on the right side of the Soviet crest, otherwise I suspect that it could go much higher. Again, I'm not claiming that you'll get that price - you might get a fair bit more considering the market these days. You might get a higher price on ebay as there are a lot of collectors searching through the site. Sometimes you might be lucky as two collectors outbid each other and give you a better price. Sometimes you might not be as lucky. But again, silver bullion value should be at least 3USD so I don't expect you to get any lower than that! Just do your best in photographing high resolution photos and hope for the best.
Thank you dctjr80 & gxseries for the advise, it's really useful. I'll try to shoot the picture again soon.
Hm, I didn't notice the awful scratch in the foreground. If you look at the text after ETAP|/||/| (text on the left) and then above the Soviet crest, you can see a deep scratch. I'm not too sure how much impact that would do but I reckon you would still get about the same value as I mentioned earlier on. Best of luck.
It's ok gxseries, I also notice the scratch is quite awful, anyway, at lease I get all info that I wanted, you're really a King of Russian coins, good collection you have there and thank you very much for the help.
