Here's my latest format for coin images in my inventory. The main frame color is fixed for a metal, but will change depending on the coin's metal. Everything else is up for comments or criticisms. Okay, speak your mind.
I would stick the "label" in the center at the top instead of at the bottom, but that's me. I don't know what else you could do, since the format is simple and not cluttered with garbage. :thumb: Ribbit
You could cut the top corners off the label and raise it above the frame so that the whole thing fits in a rectangle.
I considered that, but decided the coin is the important thing. Since we read top-down I felt the eye should see the coin first. That would work for this ANACS label, and somewhat for an NGC label. But it definitely wouldn't work for a PCGS label.
I'd like to see the label more legible. I can't quite make out the middle line. All in all it's a nice and simple way to showcase your coins in a continous, & friendly way that we all can appreciate.
Yeah, WOW that does make a difference. I really like it like that. Just for fun you should try a mirror set to see if anyone notices.
Kanga, Like a few here, I agree that black would look better as a background color. Otherwise the coins appear to be "washed out" to my eye. Also, I would lose the label entirely. To me it does nothing but detract from the beauty of the coin itself and in the end matters very little (to me)...Mike
Yes, the black background looks nicer to me too. I'll have to test with that. Particularly interested in how it will work with items like chocolate brown copper coins.
Okay, different coin, but went with the black background. What do you think? The image is sized to an 800 pixel width. That will fill the old 800-width screens, but should look good on the 1024-width screens. Make sure you expand the image to its full size or the label won't be readable.
