    Welcome! Unfortunately there are way many more altered '1943' copper coins than real. Almost any good engraver at a jewelry can change a 8 into a 3. But there are very small details an expert can tell that a collector or small coin shop clerk might not be able to tell. The odds of finding one is about same as getting hit by lightening 4 times in a year, so do not order a new car :) Jim
