To sound like a parrot, the nick on the chin keeps it from 65 but overall a solid 64. So yes for the green bean.
When it comes to grading, I'm very conservative. IMO the coin is not at the high end of the given grade. I'll vote No Bean.
For what it’s worth, CAC doesn’t disqualify for carbon spots. I’ve disqualified myself from buying several CAC coins once I put a loupe to them myself for that reason though for being more distracting than in this example but we all have our preferences.
dddd. I would like to post a few coins that I personally brought to CAC for beaning and for which I received explanations from the Grand Wizard. LMK when to start. Thanks.
The tick on the jaw should not disqualify an ms64 grade, the coin appears original, and the luster peeking through contributes to eye appeal for a brown coin. I vote green.
I guess most everyone that's going to opine has done so. Here's the reveal: The 1908-S IHC PCGS MS-64BN did get a green bean. I think it's accurately graded at 64 and my judgement is that it's a B coin for the grade. So in that sense, this coin seems to obey the published concepts for what CAC does. BTW, does anyone think that CAC has a preference, however subtle, for PCGS as opposed to NGC? I wonder what the statistics for CAC would say about this? The John Reich Society has published some studies on coins CAC'd versus not-CAC'd but I don't think the published data sets answer this question directly, if at all.
I just checked the new coins page of a well-known dealer. There are 39 coins with green stickers: 25 from PCGS and 14 from NGC. I readily concede that proves zilch.
I think it’s cause so many a coins have been cracked out or crossed for registry purchases. I’ve actually had the most gold beans in old ngc holders

@Publius2 I haven't see any evidence of a PCGS bias in terms of getting a sticker. The reason for seeing more PCGS coins with CAC in dealer inventory is that a lot of people have been convinced to only buy PCGS. So dealers/collectors are likely to crack/cross the best of the NGC coins and send them to PCGS.
I’m new to posting on CT and can use a little help. I use an ipad. All my coin photographs are on the ipad in an app called APViewer. I can’t figure out how to access the photos in the app. If I ask my teenager son, he will laugh in my face. I would welcome guidance.
Use the actual camera on it and avoid any apps and it will go into the photos section. The iPhone and iPad photos can actually be very very good very easily.
